LUMC Youth: Balancing service with fun and fellowship
We have a very active youth group consisting of upwards of 25 6th through 12th graders. We try to strike a balance between service activities in outreach to our community and fun times of fellowship. Some of our projects include:
- "Loads of love" at two local laundromats where we pay for people's washing and share time in fellowship with them
- Helping out at the church's monthly Community Meal on the 4th Saturday
- Manning the annual Pumpkin Patch in October where we raise the bulk of our funding for activities through the sale of pumpkins
- Helping prepare cakes and pies for the annual Fall Festival fundraiser
